Homemade bread is easier than you might think!

I have been making all of our bread for the last several months and I love it!! The process is simple and the bread is delicious! Bread is one of those things I used to avoid because it caused inflammation, bloat and a clogged digestive system. I have been eating my homemade bread DAILY, with zero issues!

One of the things I’ve learned about my body is that I am really NOT intolerant to anything except FAKE and PROCESSED. Overly processed dairy, bread products, etc etc are not my friend and I believe this may be the case for so many others, whether they realize it yet or not! It took me a long time to figure this out. If the source is raw, homemade, natural, unprocessed it digests so much easier. This is so freeing!!! I was extremely limited in my diet for so many years thinking there was something wrong with me, when the real question was and is, what is wrong with our food?! That’s an entirely different conversation though! 😊

Maybe you are like me however and are realizing that homemade, natural and unprocessed is your friend! Skip the low fat, sugar free junk and go straight for REAL. Your body will thank you!

After months of trying and failing different bread recipes, a friend shared this one with me and my first batch was a success! Every batch since has been a success as well and the process is so simple. I have used this recipe for bread loaves, rolls and cinnamon rolls!

In a kitchen-aid add:

2 cups warm water

½ cup avocado oil

2 tsp REAL salt

4 TBSP sugar

4 tsp dry active yeast

In a separate bowl:

Sift 6 cups of flour(I generally use King Arthur)

Together:

Slowly add your flour to your mixer as it kneads and

once completely mixed together let knead for 3-5 more minutes

Finish up:

Separate dough in two, gently form your dough into logs and add to your buttered up bread loaf pans

The rise time will depend on the temperature of your house, but once they are risen and ready, bake at 350 for 30 minutes! I put both bread loaves in the oven, side by side. Once they’re done I remove from the pans fairly quickly and place on a cooling rack and cover with a towel until cooled completely. I can’t say this is totally necessary, but they come out of the oven rock hard and as they cool, this trick always helps them soften perfectly for me!

Let me know if you give this recipe a try!!

Bonus Tips & Links:

I use raw sugar, but you can use regular or whatever your preference is. I also love Redmond's REAL salt or celtic sea salt! I haven't experimented with other oils, but coconut oil and olive oil are other good options.

Did you know

You were never meant to blend in with the world...

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possessions, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful light."

Be different. Go against the grain. Be who GOD called you to be because at the end of the day, it's His opinion we should care about. He's the one we stand before on judgement day and I don't know about you, but I want to hear "Well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome home."

Living for Jesus is one of the greatest honors of my life. I have never felt so FREE.

The real scam is living to please other humans. It's living in self-doubt and self-hate. It's never truly living up to your full potential and living out your full and true purpose in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is freedom. He is it.
