One of the hardest challenges as a busy mama can be making time for your own mental health and wellbeing, but it's also the most important thing for us to do. The saying is true, you cannot pour from an empty cup, but how are you choosing to fill your cup? The only way I truly ever feel refreshed, energized and capable of all I get to do as wife and mom comes from spending time with Jesus. This is a daily non-negotable for me and I can FEEL it when I don't make it happen. I get overwhelmed and overstimulated easily, I lack any sort of patience and grace in my attitude and responses, and I forget that I don't have to do any of it in my own strength.

If I could tell moms one thing, it would be to SLOW DOWN and make Jesus a priority. Invite Him into each and every day, from the small tasks to the big tasks. Sure we'll still have rough days, but my most challenging days and seasons are still 100x better when I remember to lean on Jesus and allow Him to carry me through. Being a mom is no cake walk, but with God's strength and love we can be more than conquerers!

Please stop trying to do it all yourself, He never wanted you to nor does He expect you to! We need the Lord and we need each other. I hope you find something here that will inspire you to joyfully make building a relationship with Jesus a priority.
