One simple recipe that you can have some fun with!! I was making cereal and realized this recipe is perfect for multiple snacky treats that we love in our house! I ended up making a triple batch and stocking the snacks! You cannot beat a recipe that is wholesome, simple + kiddo and husband approved!
We LOVE cereal, but I hate the ingredients in store-bought and the cost is outrageous so I have been searching for homemade replacements! This one was too simple not to try and if I may say so, it was a success! I am all about wholesome and simple and this nailed it.
All you need is peanut butter, maple syrup, cacao powder and almond or oat flour.
Full recipe: Single batch
3/4 cup flour
3.5 tbsp peanut butter
2.5 tbsp cacao
3 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions:
Mix until your dough is formed. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Take small pieces of dough and roll into balls. TIP: If the dough gets too sticky, wet your hands slightly and continue rolling balls. Fill your pan and bake at 320 for 10-12 minutes. They will come out soft, but just let them cool and they will harden as they cool.
These would also make a great finger snack for littles, or you too, if you don't prefer cereal! You don't even need to bake if you like dough! Simply store in fridge if you're choosing not to bake!

My personal favorite!
Chocolate Reece's <3
Instructions:
Using the same recipe and measurements, this time form your dough into thick patties! However you like your Reece's! Freeze. Once frozen, melt chocolate and coconut oil and cover! Store in fridge! Try not to eat all at once. :)
This recipe is similar to the regular Reece's that I make. I have never measured so start slowly by mixing peanut butter and maple syrup together until thin. Slowly spoon in almond flour until dough is formed and do the same process as above, forming patties and so on.

The final creation today is a chocolate granola bar!
This one is the simplest of all. Once you mix your ingredients together, same measurements again, line a bread pan with parchment and pour in the dough. Press down until equally spread. I chose to press in some chocolate chips, you definitely don't have to, but no one in my house is ever mad about extra chocolate! I also had extra melted chocolate from my Reece's so I drizzled some on top! These are so soft and delicious and the perfect granola bar!
I might try baking next time and see how they turn out! I am sure they'd be more like a "real" soft and chewy granola bar by baking. If you want to try this, use the same temp as the cereal, 320, and start with 12 minutes!
Simple. Wholesome. Kid and husband approved! It doesn't get better.
Enjoy enjoy!!!
Did you know
You were never meant to blend in with the world...
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possessions, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful light."
Be different. Go against the grain. Be who GOD called you to be because at the end of the day, it's His opinion we should care about. He's the one we stand before on judgement day and I don't know about you, but I want to hear "Well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome home."
Living for Jesus is one of the greatest honors of my life. I have never felt so FREE.
The real scam is living to please other humans. It's living in self-doubt and self-hate. It's never truly living up to your full potential and living out your full and true purpose in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is freedom. He is it.
